How fitment works

The shop is built around one question: will this fit my car?

Add your car once

Pick your model and year in the garage on the homepage. It is stored in your own browser, not on our servers, and it stays until you change or clear it. You do not need an account.

What changes once you have

• Every product card gains a green Fits your Model 3 or a red Doesn't fit your car.
• Parts that do not fit cannot be added to the cart — the button says Not compatible and explains why.
• The catalogue gains a filter to show only parts that fit.
• Your order records which car you bought for, so a reorder can be re-checked against it later.

Reading the fitment line

Without a car saved, each part lists the models it fits, like Fits 3 · Y. With one saved, it tells you about your car specifically. Year ranges matter: the Model 3 changed its console in 2021, so a part listed for 2021 onwards will not fit a 2019 car even though both are Model 3s.

Model years run early

Car model years usually start partway through the previous calendar year. If your car sits on a boundary, check the year on the door jamb sticker rather than the year you bought it.

If we get it wrong

If a part we said fits does not, return shipping is on us both ways and you get a full refund. See returns.

Email support@volta-parts.com with your model, year and the part you are looking at. Include the VIN if you have it — it settles the boundary cases in one step.
