Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

Analytics and advertising
We use these to understand how the shop is used and to measure advertising. Nothing here is used to make automated decisions about you, and nothing is sold to data brokers.

Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel only run if you agree to them. You can change or withdraw that at any time with the button on the cookie page, and withdrawing is as easy as giving it. Both send data to servers in the United States. See the cookie page for the individual cookies and how long each lasts.
What we do not do
We do not sell or rent your data to anyone. We do not use it to profile you beyond the advertising measurement described above, and there is no automated decision-making.
Who else sees your data
- Shopify handles the checkout and the payment. When you pay, your card details go to Shopify and its payment provider — never to us. We never see or store a card number.
- Cloudflare hosts the site and the database, and sees the network requests needed to serve it.
- The courier gets your name, address and phone number so it can deliver the parcel.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Write to privacy@volta-parts.com and we will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or the EU you can also complain to your data protection authority; if you are elsewhere, to whichever regulator covers you. Deleting an order record is not always possible — tax law requires us to keep sales records for seven years.
Where your data is

Those transfers rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission, which are part of the data processing agreement we have with each of the providers listed above. You can ask us for a copy of the relevant terms at privacy@volta-parts.com.
Changes
If this policy changes in a way that affects you, the date at the top changes and, for anything significant, we will say so by email to anyone on the list.
